It has been a long time since I sailed westward around Black Point into Giant’s Neck. Yesterday, I took my Dyer Dhow TRUE LOVE in tow and sailed to the Giant’s Neck anchorage. I had forgotten just how beautiful that area is with its islands, rocks, and salt marshes; I definitely need to spend more time here in the future. I then rowed the TRUE LOVE about a mile up the picturesque Pattagansett River before returning back to ORION. My friends Doug and Bonnie Butler, motoring from the Waterford side of the Niantic River, rafted up to me and we enjoyed a great lunch and visit together before returning home.
