I finally finished my recap of the 2018 Mariner Class Association National Rendezvous to Essex.

I was pretty surprised to walk in the door and find the place practically empty. A gentleman politely informed me that Dwyer hadn’t been there in about a year.

Now that the holidays have come and gone, I’m able to think a bit more about all things Mariner. I’ve been making a mental list of the things I need to do this winter.

It’s a great opportunity for Mariner owners to have fun, check out the incomparable Mystic Seaport and enjoy sailing together.

Finally, I have uploaded and captioned all the pictures in my new photo album for the 2018 Rendezvous which happened at the beginning of August.

Paul Bowers is the new, enthusiastic owner of Mariner #272, and he has begun a new website to document the adventures of #272 - renamed CRICKET - in southern waters.

At the 2018 Mariner National Rendezvous in Stonington this past weekend, I happened upon the new August edition and was surprised to find my article had already been published!

After a great sail today, I posted four new pictures in the 2018 Sailing Page.

The weather was absolutely perfect today with sunny skies and a good breeze.

I added six pictures to the 2018 Sailing page and made a new photo album of a trip to Essex I took with my wife and a couple of her friends.

ORION was officially launched for the 2018 season this past Saturday, and today I took her for her first sail.

Will Gilmore created new hatchboards for me this past winter with a picture of ORION and the constellation Orion burned into the wood using a special technique.

As of this writing, there are just two dock spaces left. If you're reading this and have even the slightest desire to come, I encourage you to register at the Association's website right now.

I'm pretty excited to add another O'Day Mariner advertisement to my collection, this time the very earliest I've ever seen. 

Dan Voorhees (#1476) was hoping to buy a bow pulpit for his Mariner, but prices for new ones are unaffordable for many of us small-boat sailors.

There will be a lot to see and do in the Stonington Borough once we arrive there, and I have no doubt SHYC will be absolutely fantastic hosts. 

I posted the last two pictures I had on my camera of ORION in the Sailing 2017 album.

I originally posted the information as an Update on this website, but it quickly got lost in all the activity. So, I made a permanent home for it on the main menu.
