When I finally got to my parents’ house, my mouth dropped as I saw the boiling cauldron of the Niantic River, a sight I had never seen before.

I’m really looking forward to taking the helm of the Association once more and possibly exploring some new territory to advance the MCA and the Mariner.

I happened to spot the Coast Guard Barque Eagle at anchor and had the chance to sail right up to her.

This year's Rendezvous has been designed to adhere to these safe boating restrictions allowing members to sail with their families and friends yet maintain recommended social distancing guidelines stipulated by the state.

It was pouring rain with wind whipping around 25 knots, but I managed to stow the gear inside the cabin and get her all set to put in the water.

After several months of inactivity, it was great to finally uncover ORION today up at my folks’ house in Niantic and start getting her ready for the water.

I replaced the stretched-out, crummy shock cord I used for my line hangers underneath the port side cockpit locker.

The January/February, 2020 edition of WindCheck magazine just came out, and they published my article about the 2019 Mariner Class Association National Rendezvous!

The MarinerSailors Yahoo! group had become obsolete as all other Yahoo! groups had, and it’s only to be expected that Yahoo! would make the decision to no longer host user-created content on all of its Group sites starting last month.

I added the last few pictures of this year’s sailing season. Besides little afternoon sails here and there, I had a great sail around Black Point and a final sail in the Niantic River with my father.

I finally finished a write-up of the 2019 Rendezvous that happened back at the beginning of August! I wanted to be sure to get it completed while the event was still relatively fresh in my mind.

I added a couple new pictures to the 2019 Sailing page after a little trip to Turkey Point to go swimming with my family.

Steve Hock, a professional photographer, had sent me something, and it was waiting for me at my local CVS. When I went to pick it up, I was blown away.
