2008 - Post-Restoration.
May 3rd, 2008 - sailing with my friend Hector Benalcazar (#3429). I'm towing him through the old 1907 Niantic Railroad Bridge.
It was a heck of a windy day. I haven't had a chance to trim the jib!
Blasting along at hull speed!

August 8th, 2008 - sailing with my father. I'm walking forward as I try out my new Tiller Tamer.
Although I can only do this in light winds, it does give me the opportunity to get another perspective while sailing solo!
September 30th - Took an early fall trip around Black Point to Giant's Neck, Niantic. The weather was just right.
Here's a shot of my friend Hector as we return from Giant's Neck. I haven't yet cleaned the seagull "residue" from the sail cover.
October 30th, 2008 - anchored up the Niantic River.
Rowed ashore in my nine-foot Dyer Dhow TRUE LOVE to explore Turkey Point beach and some woodland paths.
ORION is just visible through the trees atop a nearby cliff.
The paths through the woods are simply beautiful.
The TRUE LOVE is still there, patiently waiting for me.
What a gorgeous time of year.
