I have been meaning to add the last two pictures to the 2025 Sailing Page, and I finally did it. I had hoped to sail ORION into November, but there were some forecasted storms in mid-October that had me a bit worried. Also, with a lot of stuff going on at work and at home, it would have been difficult to find the time. So, ORION was hauled out on October 10th, and it turned out to be a very good thing; the winter wind came early, and it seems like it has been nothing but gale warnings and small craft advisories ever since. There’s no way I would have been able to go sailing anyway. I suppose it was meant to be.
ORION is tucked away in her boatshed for the winter, and I’m already thinking about and planning trips for 2026. Just think - the days will be getting longer soon!
