The 2026 sailing season has officially begun! ORION was launched this morning - from her new trailer, incidentally - and she is tethered to her mooring, waiting for the first sail. Thankfully, there were no mishaps, and everything went smoothly, although it always takes a long time to get her fully rigged. I am in awe of Mariner trailer sailors who are able to get their boat ready in as little as 45 minutes or so - it takes me over two hours.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to take her sailing some time next week. But in the meantime, I’m happy knowing she is ready to go.
